Lake DavisRainbows are the order of the day. Once the subject of much controversy due to an infestation of Northern Pike, Lake Davis has come back. The Pike are gone and the Rainbows are in charge. Davis with its abundant food supply produces fish that grow thick and fight hard. Lake Davis is located 54 miles from Reno, 185 miles from Sacramento, and 265 miles from San Francisco. Spring time produces fishing conditions that can only be called insane.
The Seasons - (May-June) Spring and early summer is really the prime time to be on Lake Davis. Early in spring following ice out the fish are found shallow often times cruising shorelines as they prepare for the spawn. Following the spawn, the Bows move back out into the lake and aggressively start feeding, taking advantage of the whole water column. Due to the shallow nature of the lake the water warms quickly throughout the summer driving fish deeper. The Rates - The first two guests $225.00 per person. Each additional guest $150.00 (Two person minimum boat charge, all tackle and fishing equipment is provided including fish cleaning and wrapping) |
Our Customers Say It Best!........
Hi Bryan-Both me and my dad wanted to thank you for an awesome time fishing and being great company in the boat. You knew your stuff and sold us on fishing the whole northern lake region a lot more. It felt like we were fishing with an old fishing buddy and after about 10 seconds we both knew we were in good hands and that you were the kind of guide and friend that a person could not only trust but talk to easily and openly. Appreciate the great time and the ability for me and my dad to add some great memories. We caught some beautiful fish and they not only were fun to catch but even better to eat. Once again thank you and please stay in touch.Dan W Livermore CA |
The map shows our typical departure point, Honker Cove Boat Ramp, at Lake Davis, however actual departure point may be different and will be confirmed about a week prior to your trip. Personalized dock pick-up is available at all the lakes we fish but must be set up in advance.
